Vipers' have a soft neoprene padding glued into the inside top of the fin. This not only pads the top of your foot, but also helps to prevent blisters. The blade of the fin is symmetric. They float, and offer both short and long blade styles. The Viper's strength does not come from being rigid and stiff. It comes from the blade's patented design which produces torque (an increasing resistance to flex) and "snap" to the blade (memory). These actions channel the water between the vertical side rails and off the straight blade tip for a directed thrust. This produces the most efficient kick possible.

Here is what Tyler Swanson has to say about the fins:
Using Viper fins gives me both speed and style with their sleek looks and high performance design built to make you rip and look good while you_re doing it. They will get you around white wash ridin_ tourists in no time!
Here is what Lil' Todd says about the fins: I use Viper fins because they give good projection and don_t have to worry about them breaking because of there sturdy rubber and strong molds. My fins have gotten me out of some of the strongest rips in such places as Kirra and Waimea shorebreak. The long length to them let me blow by the other bodyboarders while they were still paddling in the current. Viper fins are long-lasting fins and give you good projection through the toughest of times
Swimfin weight: 3.3lbs per pair (V5's), 3.8lbs (V7's).
