The creation of the bodyboard in 1971, triggered as well resurgence of skegless stand-up surfing... now a growing revolution as 30 years of bodyboarding has proven conclusively that a short skegless board will cling rapidly to the faces of steep waves. In fact, some surfers now think of skegs as a crutch, more of a hindrance to performance than help; 'training wheels'. Stand-up surfing and skimming of bodyboards is attempted daily by growing numbers. That's why we developed ONE! board that better serves ALL needs. Consequently 7 years ago, we set upon the task of creating, 'triple threat', a theoretic board that would be safer, softish like a bodyboard. yet perform well in many categories of surf;. that is, be soft enough for the black ball area, ride well as a bodyboard, skim well, and capture the interests of hotter stand up riders; one board to pretty much do everything. We are VERY pleased to announce that this one do-it-all board has now become a reality. Far exceeding, in fact, even our own expectations!
Because it really does perform well as a bodyboard, skimboard and skeg-free surfboard AND is a great board for any kid-at-heart, on ANY body of water, AND because it has become THE main contender for design of choice in the newly emerging sports of wake boarding and bungee surfing, it has earned its title, the ONE!
