It provides maximum flex while maintaining ideal strength and stiffness during bottom turns. This is the most elite board offered on today's bodyboard market. The Platinum has it all! This board features a Polypropylene (PP) core, Dual Flex-Hinge Tip stringers, bat tail, surlyn bottom, channels, Sealed Air 8lb. Polyethylene (PE) filmed deck skin and double rails, bottom finer grips, 4mm thick XLPE with film nose, tail bumpers and inside rails, and high performance tailored overall curve. The ?Platinum? is available in 38, 40, 41.5, and 42.5 in length. The new Vortex Dual Flex-Hinge Tip Stringer System is the answer fro the rider who demands the strength of a stringer but still wants the flexibility of a none-stringer board. Well, this unique attribute is achieved with the breakthrough technology of our precision processed Flex-Hinge System. Constructed from a pliable rubber-like polymer, the Flex-Hinge is specifically designed to allow optimum flex and protection throughout the nose of the board. Another feature of the stringer system includes having the flex in the nose, while the rear section of the board still has a standard stringer that increases the board?s stiffness towards the tail. This helps to maximize the strength of the board where most of the force is applied, from the rider?s elbows and hips. Lastly, all stringers are sealed and capped to keep them watertight.
