As
you gun down the line in maximum speed position, you should
have your inside hand on the inside top corner of the nose
and your outside hand 1/3 of the way down the outside rail.
Look for a section that's steep and is about to pitch out.
As you come to it, turn to the bottom of the wave, quickly
slide back on the board's inside corner, and turn hard off
the bottom. Aim for the lip. As you meet the pitching lip,
hold on tight and follow it over as if you were on a corkscrew
rollercoaster. If you time it right, the lip will throw
you out upside-down and it will do most of the work. Once
there, use your legs and body torque to "twist" yourself
all the way over in preparation for landing. Timing is everything.
