Choose your core type. See our Board Anatomy link at the bottom of our site for details on the different types.
The extra thick PE core is 3" thick, so with deck and rail skins added is about 3 1/4" thick. Good for heavier riders!
Your board length in inches measured between the corners of the tail and the nose.
Your board width in inches measured between the widest point of each rail.
The distance from the nose down to the widest point on your board, measured on the deck.
The nose width of your board.
The tail width of your board measured from corner to corner on the slick bottom side of the board.
Which deck color do you want?
The outer rail is the outermost foam piece on the sides of your board.
Which inner rail color do you want?
This is the Surlyn slick bottom on your board.
HD bottoms have a bit less flex than Surlyn, therefore are stiffer, but a bit more prone to creasing.
How many stringers do you want? JL Boards include 1 stringer at no charge.
Mesh is a reinforcing layer of plastic "chicken wire" type material. You can add mesh under the deck skin, under the bottom skin, or both.
Select the type of tail you want on the board. See our Board Anatomy page for details.
3" x 10" are 3" wide and 10" long and start 10" up from the tail and are 3" wide through the length of the channel.
1/2" x 3" x 10" are "graduated" channels, meaning they start at 1/2" wide 10" up from the tail and widen to 3" as they exit the tail.
Channel rails are narrow channels on the bottom that run 1/2 way up the board from the tail along each rail.
Deck contours include raised areas for the elbows, recessed areas for the hips, and hand grips. If you want ONLY hand grips, do NOT click this button. There is an option below to choose hand grips only.
Hand bulbs are raised circular bumps on the top corners of the nose to enhance grip.
Finger bulbs are raised circular bumps on the bottom (slick side) corners of the nose to enhance grip.
60/40 rails mean that 60% of the rail surface area is the bottom rail and 40% is the top. This is the most common rail type. The larger bottom rail improves friction/drag with the water, making the 60/40 turn more effectively.
50/50 rails mean that the top and bottom part of the rail are equal in size. The smaller bottom rail piece reduces friction/drag, therefore slightly improving speed.
Deck pad is a raised center section on the board adding buoyancy to the board.
