How many stringers do you want?
Mesh is a reinforcing layer of plastic "chicken wire" type material. You can add mesh under the deck skin, under the bottom skin, or both.

All custom Custom X boards come with standard graduated channels. Please indicate if you want the channels or not.
Deck contours include raised areas for the elbows, recessed areas for the hips, and hand grips. If you want ONLY hand grips, do NOT click this button. There is an option below to choose hand grips only.
A nose bumper is an extra piece of foam laminated to the nose to add more protection to the nose of the board.
Tail bumper is an extra piece of foam laminated to the tail to protect it.
Hand bulbs are raised circular bumps on the top corners of the nose to enhance grip.
Finger bulbs are raised circular bumps on the bottom (slick side) corners of the nose to enhance grip.

Custom X has been turning out world class custom boards since the early days of the sport and have honed their custom board building skills to perfection.  Using Custom X's state-of-the-art factory and materials, they can create almost anything you can imagine.

Please allow 2-3 weeks for production and remember to be flexible when it comes to colors as sometimes the factory runs out of certain colors at certain times.  We'll contact you if that's the case.

Beater boards, surfboards and oversized item (certain board bags and other items) are exempt from free USA shipping due to their size.

We ship from San Clemente, California.

Please note, for orders with FREE SHIPPING, we reserve the right to change the shipping method to the cheapest available method.  

We do offer order pickup or shopping at our San Clemente location Monday-Friday between 10am-5pm (major holidays excluded).  Simply select "In-Store Pickup - Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm - Pick up at our San Clemente, California Warehouse", or come by and get what you need.

All UPS shipments are picked up at 3:30pm Pacific Time. UPS packages do not move on weekends or major holidays, so a Next Day Air package shipping on a Friday will arrive Monday.

All shipments have basic insurance and tracking numbers which are automatically emailed to you when we ship your order.  If tracking indicates your order has been delivered, please contact us to file a claim with the shipper AFTER you have checked around your house or with your neighbors to make sure the package hasn't been delivered.

We ship orders Monday-Friday only and are closed on weekends and major US holidays.

Return Policy

INFORMATION ABOUT RETURNS does not do direct exchanges unless you come to our location. If you want to return an item and get a different item/size/color, etc., please place a new order for the replacement item, and contact us to get an RA (return for the item(s) you are returning. Once we receive the returned item, your card will be credited.

IMPORTANT:  If you ordered swimfins from us and they don't fit, we do NOT cover return shipping fees!  Please note that swimfin sizing is provided by the fin manufacturer and will vary from brand to brand.  Foot pocket width varies as well.  If you want advice on sizing, please email, live chat, or call, but understand that any recommendation we provide is exactly that- a RECOMMENDATION and is no way a guarantee of fit and you will still be required to cover return shipping costs.  

There are no returns on anything that has been used, or in the case of boards, unwrapped from their packaging.  Also no returns are permitted on certain custom items (custom bodyboards), DVDs, secondhand items or blemished items. If you bought an item of clothing and washed it, we cannot accept a return. Shrinkage is not a valid reason for returning clothing.  

*Warranty info:
Some items have warranties and the warranty period varies from brand to brand. Please contact us if you think you have a warranty claim and we will put you in contact with the manufacturer. Please note, we cannot replace or refund any items without approval from the manufacturer.

Bodyboards and surfboards are NOT WARRANTED FOR CREASING and NOT WARRANTED for delamination/bubbles caused by leaving the board in the sun or in a hot environment and are NOT WARRANTED for cuts into the board caused by the use of a leash, getting run over, riding up on to sharp objects. dropping the board on the nose or tail, etc.. Most of the manufacturers will require detailed photos of the board if there is a possible defect so they can determine the course of action.
* What are's return procedures?
Merchandise must be returned within 10 days (21 days for international orders) of the issuance of the RA# at which time the RA# expires. Return shipping charges are the sole responsibility of the customer EXCEPT if an item is damaged or we shipped the wrong item. Additionally, your original shipping fee is not eligible for a refund  UNLESS you received the wrong item.  In that case, you may be asked to ship the item back at your expense via a method that we specify, and we will credit your account for the return shipping costs at a maximum of equal to what we paid to ship it to you only. If getting reimbursed for return shipping costs, you must ship the item via a method that we approve in advance.

To return a product, please follow the steps outlined below:

1. Contact us to get a Return Authorization Number (RA#) (within 30 days of the original ship date). 
2. Verify that all merchandise is in the original packaging, undamaged, and sellable as "brand new".
3. For your protection, please insure the package and use a trackable shipping method such as UPS Ground, Parcel Post or Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation, or Registered Mail for overseas shipments. You are responsible for any shipping damages/loss that may occur.
4. Please use the cut out merchandise-return label, located on the back of your receipt or address the package to: RETURNS

Some items are shipped from alternate warehouses, and you will be requested to ship these back to those warehouses directly.

If you are shipping something back to us for a refund and it's not due to error on our part or damage, we STRONGLY urge you to insure your shipment. Customers are responsible for lost or damaged shipments to us. If you return an item that had free shipping, we reserve the right to refund your money minus our cost to ship it to you (unless your return is due to damage or an error on our part). If your order included free items, you must also return those! reserves the right to reject any merchandise without a valid RA# to the customer. RA numbers are valid for 10 days from the issue date for domestic orders, and 21 days for international orders.  

All returned merchandise must be in it's original packaging (if it had packaging). Product that is returned incomplete, used or damaged will not be accepted and will be return-shipped at the customer's expense.  Note:  All orders are subject to a re-stocking fee determined on a case-by-case basis.

* Special information on returning bodyboards.
If you bought a bodyboard and had us install a leash or you have installed a leash, returns are not allowed unless the board is damaged or not what you ordered. Also, if returning a bodyboard for a refund, we ask that you return any free items that were included with the board before we can process the credit.
* Credits issued for returns.
Credit will be issued after we receive, inspect, and process your return.  Please allow 2-3 business days to receive credit/refunds.
