6'1 365 She's not short on buoyancy!! I can pretty much catch anything on it and that's a real treat, I have a little trouble duck diving but I also bought the 45 when I probably... view more should have got the 42, my choice. Also could be my technique as previously I have only ridden boards that were too small and I was able to manhandle them lol. This thing is a real beaut! And performs from the summer mush to the hurricane swell. If you're a nose tackle this is your board! The staff has walked me through every step of getting back in the water after a long hiatus. Not what I was expecting, kind of dissapointed for the price.
I have "evolved" into a bigger rider. I am 6'1" and about 255 pds. I have been sponging for 30 years (I'm 42) and have had many boards over the years, riding in all sorts of break... view mores and locations. I purchased this board and to be honest have not been very happy with it. It is extremely buoyant - almost to a fault. The main problem is that the rails are so THICK that a person can barely grip them. Also, the board is so overly buoyant that it tends to ride on top of the wave as opposed to letting the rails really dig into the wave. I have had it out for four sessions and wish I had just bought a thinner 44" board that I can actually ride. It was a pricey error on my part. view less
