Designed by veteran pro bodyboarders Jay and Vicki Reale. Let's face it, you're not the svelte, waify type. Your physical presence is a bit larger than the average person, and you need a board to match. Enter the Chief Flex. Engineered to bring high performance to the 200 lb-plus rider, the Chief Flex has every bit of the high-tech design and construction of any high-end board, with a bit more girth and volume to keep you gliding with the best of 'em. A 1.2pcf polypropylene core, single carbon fiber stringer, HDPE slick, and a layer of Skintec stiffener under the deck give it just the right amount of flex for cooler water.

WHO IS THIS BOARD FOR?

Ideal Rider Profile

  • Rider Size: Built for riders 200 lbs and up who need more width and volume.
  • Conditions: Optimized for cooler water or riders who want more give in their board.

Best Suited For

  • Bigger riders who want high-end design and construction with extra girth and volume.
  • Riders in cooler water who want a bit of bend in their ride.
  • Riders who like a board with some spring once it's broken in.

WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE?

1.2pcf PP Core: A lower-density polypropylene core for more flex in cooler water.

Single Carbon Fiber Stringer: One stringer gives the Chief Flex a bit more spring once you break it in.

Skintec Under the Deck: A stiffener layer under the deck controls the flex.

HDPE Slick and Graduated Channels: A durable bottom with graduated channels.

Extra Width and 60mm Thickness: The Chief's signature volume for float and paddling.

Crescent Tail and 60/40 Rails: A classic tail and rail combination.

Finger Bulbs: Finger bulbs for grip. No nose bulbs.

HOW DOES IT COMPARE?

The Chief Flex is the more flexible, cooler water Chief. The Chief 2.0 Pro Quad is the stiff, warm water version with a 1.9pcf PP core, Surlyn slick, and CNC quad channels.
