Tribe Fiskr Freshie Bodyboard

"Fiskr" is Old Norse for "fish," and this baby is a unique addition to the Tribe lineup. We first designed the Fiskr with wave pool and river riders in mind: a more flexible PE core to fit the curves of these waves, with two carbon fiber stringers to keep the core nice and springy while still letting the board bend into the contours of the wave or river flow. We made it high volume for added buoyancy in fresh water. We quickly realized it would be a winner in the ocean too, especially in cold water, where riders need buoyancy to offset extra wetsuit weight and a softer core to counteract the stiffness caused by frigid water. An old school feel in a new school package.
